Kos Guide

Full day guided excursion

It’s a full day excursion and you’ll find some interest points as regards to it. The tours start by visiting “Asklepion”, the most famous of all temples of Asklepios and hospital of ancient times. Next visit is the most charming village on Kos “Zia”, it’s situated up to the mountain “Dikeos” where there is a magnificent countryside view and has the opportunity to look at the village church, there is also time for a strolling around the tiny street for shopping, either for a coffee and to taste the village specialty “yogurt with honey”.

From Zia we continue to the picturesque village of Pili, is situated in the centre of the island, 300m up mount Dikeos, and 15km from Kos town.
In 1830, the locals abandoned the old village of Pili after a plague epidemic and settled down at the current village. The beautiful square of Pili is decorated with a fountain which was built in 1592. Most of the houses are traditionally construct with stone. .

The next stop (optional) of the trip is “Antimachia” where you will see the traditional windmill which is still in use as well as the typical “Koian house”.
Afterward you will continue to the village of Kefalos, where you will see a different windmill up in the village, before going down to the beautiful bay of Kamari, there is enough time to have a typical lunch in the restaurant otherwise to swim and relax.
The last stop of this journey is the fishing village called “Kardamena”, where you will have time to stroll around for souvenir or have a drink.
