After your breakfast you will be transferred to Kos harbor, an occasion to explore the Turkish coast. The city of Bodrum is situated 7 nautical miles from the island of Kos and the cruising trip takes approximately 50 min. Bodrum in the ancient Greek was named “Alicarnassos” where Herodotus was born. Today Bodrum is one of the most well–known tourist places and famous for its open air market and strolling around for souvenir shopping. Typical Turkish bazaar can also be visited. The local guide will also enlighten the history of the medieval castle which is very closed by the port or the Mausoleum. The Mausoleum was the grave of the king Mausolos, the king of ancient Alicarnassos. Mausoleum was considered to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Late in the afternoon return to Kos Island. Lunch not included.
